Experience Matters

I’ve spent more than 20 years in senior accounting roles, working directly with business owners.
Before launching In the Black, I was the Controller for a large, privately owned company with hundreds of millions in annual revenue. I was responsible for keeping the accounting accurate, leading the team, and making sure ownership had financial information they could rely on.
Over the years, I’ve seen what strong financial structure can do for a business — and I’ve seen what happens when reporting, systems, or processes aren’t built the right way. That experience allows me to spot issues early and put practical solutions in place before they become bigger problems.
Now, I work with growing businesses that need experienced oversight but don’t necessarily need (or want) another full-time executive. I step in, bring structure, and help owners feel confident in their numbers.
